Long-form: forward flow agreements and DebtHub notes. Use the cards below, then submit a snapshot.

A spot sale clears one defined pool. A forward flow commits future charge-offs on a grid. First-time sellers usually spot-sale once, then talk flow.

When creditors pick a spot sale

Original creditors and debt sellers choose a one-time spot sale of charged-off receivables when the pool is a defined backlog: mixed vintages, a cleanup book, or the first file a desk will see. A spot sale uses one purchase and sale agreement and one funding. Buyers underwrite the actual tape โ€” charge-off date, last-pay, state mix, original creditor, media percent, and chain of title โ€” instead of pricing a future grid they have not tested. That is why first sales of credit card charge-offs, auto deficiency, medical, and specialty paper usually close as a spot before anyone talks flow.

A forward-flow agreement makes sense after that first close, when monthly charge-off volume is predictable and the data dictionary is stable. The seller commits future eligible accounts on a pricing grid; the buyer funds on a calendar. Watch rejects, true-ups, and late tapes. Hybrid structures โ€” spot the backlog, then a short flow on new charge-offs โ€” are ordinary once title, media, and boarding have already worked once. Use this tool, then submit a snapshot so the desk can size spot versus flow against the file you actually have.
