Before you apply

  • Entity docs and beneficial owners.
  • License list or license plan by state.
  • E&O and cyber certificates.
  • Written data-handling procedure for tapes.
  • Buying box: asset classes, min/max face, vintage, monthly capacity.

During diligence

  • NDA executed (HelloSign).
  • Tape: charge-off date, last-pay, media percent, state mix.
  • Title: every assignment if the seller is not the originator.
  • Bid in percent of face or bps, with conditions written down.

After you win

  • PSA, cut-off, funding.
  • Board to your system; do not leave the file in email.
  • Calendar the warranty window; use post-sale support for claims.
